Faith Hardin is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Texas A&M University-College Station under the direction of Dr. Michael Morrison. Her research interests focus on how avian ecology and habitat selection are impacted by anthropological influences and land management. Using the East Foundation’s extensive and diverse property she hopes to study the impacts various ranching techniques are having on primary and secondary cavity nesters. 

Growing up, her family moved around frequently before settling in Up-State New York where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Field Biology from the State University of New York at Oneonta. Since then she has participated in various field jobs in New Mexico, Maine, and New York; working on Gunnison’s Prairie Dogs, White-tailed Deer and Black Bear, and threatened and endangered birds respectively. Her long term goals include pursuing a career in field-based ornithological research in the state, federal or private sector.
