Alexis Pence is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Wildlife Science at Texas A&M University-College Station under the direction of Dr. Michael Morrison. She earned her Bachelor of Science as a double major in Environmental Science and Mathematics while also completing minors in Spatial Studies and Human/Animal Studies at the University of Redlands. She has completed previous research on the habitat selection of the desert packrat in the Santa Ana Wash in Southern California. Additionally, she completed research on the impact of boat traffic on marine mammals in Dana Point California.

With the East Foundation, Alexis will be researching rodent communities and their habitats. Upon completion of her education, Alexis hopes to pursue a career in mammalian conservation in the state, federal or private sector.
